CHAD COREN, PsyD, MEd, MA, CAADC

Dr. Coren earned his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, Master’s Degree in Human Sexuality Education and Certificate in Cognitive-Therapy from Widener University. He is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

With formal training in several theoretical orientations including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy and client-centered theories, Dr. Coren is able to tailor treatment strategies to best fit his client's needs.

Dr. Coren has over 15 years of experience working in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, drug & alcohol clinics and independent private practice. He has served as the Director of Psychological Services & Student Training at the Keystone Center, a facility specializing in the treatment of addictions and co-occurring mental health.

MAURA FARRELL, MSS, LSW, CAADC

Maura Farrell is a psychotherapist, masters level Licensed Social Worker, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has more than 15 years of therapeutic experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. She achieved her Bachelors at Temple University in Social Work and Masters degree at Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Additionally, she has completed training and certification in EMDR, Conferencing and Interventions.   

     As a psychotherapist, Maura honed her expertise in treating addiction and co-occurring mental health problems while working at The Council of South Eastern Pennsylvania, a private non-profit prevention, education, advocacy, assessment, intervention, and recovery support organization as well as the Malvern Institute, a premier inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment facility. For the last 3 years, she has supervised an Outpatient Treatment facility for the Malvern Institute. Her responsibilities there include individual and group therapy as well as providing clinical supervision for 7 counselors, student interns and administrative staff.  

Maura's theoretical approaches and clinical skillsets include solution focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, positive psychology strategies, mindfulness training, motivational interviewing and EMDR.  Her specific areas of interest include the treatment of substance use disorders, trauma, grief and loss, women’s issues, adjustment and mood disorders.

CHRIS DIORIO, MS, MLA


     Chris DiOrio is a master’s level therapist with 8 years of experience working with families and individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. Chris has a master’s degree form the University of Pennsylvania in Liberal Arts with a focus in philosophy and he has also received a master’s degree in clinical counseling and psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Chris has been trained in psychodynamic and motivational interviewing techniques as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. For the last 4 years Chris has worked at Malvern Institute, a premier inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment facility. Prior to working at Malvern, Chris worked with adolescents and their parents addressing behavioral and mental health challenges related to trauma, grief and loss as well as mood and anxiety disorders.

Chris's focus is to assist you in gaining a deeper awareness of the patterns and negative thinking that can create barriers to the change you are seeking. His specialty is to address the core beliefs that get in the way of creating change and forming healthy relationships. He supports his patients in creating a sense of purpose in life by reaching a deeper understanding of the challenges they face and discovering the choices that are needed to begin the process of change.
